Currently, there is not a standard for welding cable. At Direct Wire, we taken added steps to meet the SAE J1127 (Society of Automotive Engineers) standard that requires a minium amount of copper per gauge, eliminating short stranded cable products in the market, and ensures you are using the appropriate size cable needed for your specific job.
SAE J1127 standard also tests for flexibility, cold, fluid resistance, as well as exposure to heat, and flame. These tests are designed to ensure your safety and protect your equipment.
For more information on the SAE J1127 standard or any of our products, call 1-800-233-3848.
